challenge of the month may - results

Did we successfully complete our challenge? As much as I’d like to say ‘YES, we did it!’, unfortunately our average time came to 1 hour 15 minutes and not 1 hour 10 minutes. Waaah!

Within fourfits, there are obvious faster runners, however since this was the first 10K run that some of us have ever ran we decided to stay as a group and push each other through it.

A wise man once said;

‘Your team is only as strong as your weakest link’

so regardless of us failing the challenge this month, we were happy to complete this as a group. So no, we didn't beat our challenge, but YES we experienced and accomplished something much greater than a time.

‘YES, we did it’ – WE did it to run further than we have ever ran before. WE did it to overcome fears. WE did it as a team.

WE owned the Night.  

In true fourfits style, we will now be completing a forfeit that was chosen by you. Since we had equal votes, two of us will be enduring 100 sit-ups a day every day and the other two will be painfully completing 50 burpees every day for one whole week. We will document our daily ‘chore’ and give you an insight into the pain and gains this forfeit will do to us.

We will be participating in Nike's We Own the Night 10K on the 10th May. For some of us, this will be a first ever 10K run, so our very first challenge of the month will be... drum roll please...


"To complete Nike's WOTN 10K run with an average time between four of 1hr10mins, or less. We must work as a team to get to the finish line in good time!"

As promised, fourfits will carry out a forfeit chosen by you if we do fail to accomplish this challenge.
